  • Run your own Science Week event

National Science Week is a collection of events large and small staged by individuals and organisations that when taken together make up one of Australia’s largest festivals. Organising your own event can be as simple as registering for a Brain Break workplace morning tea. Bigger events include school science fairs, guest speaker seminars and open days at research institutes.

There are grants available nationally and locally to help support events, as well as tips on how to run a successful public event.

  • Visit a museum or science discovery centre

There are many science experiences all around Australia to enjoy year round. We’ve got a collection of about 80 activities here, including museums, science centres, national park visitor centres, industry tours, marine discovery centres and observatories.
